Yesterday we had the chance to go hicking in Switzerland and it was to our joy that we discovered that 30 minutes away from our house we have such amazing mountains and views. I was more happy because i had the oportunity to take some shots in HDR. Feel free to comment !

Dandelion – The free green vitamin Bomb

I love taking pictures of dandelion seeds, they are so small but when you take a picture of it and you look a t the detail, you ask yourself…… how can something so small be so detailed. I was looking over the internet about this plant and it came out that this is a really good and powerful plant, and it’s FREE !!! Here is what I found about the leafs :
#1 – High in Calcium: Dandelion greens are loaded with calcium. Just one cup of chopped dandelion greens has 103 milligrams (10% of the recommended daily value) of calcium! That’s slightly more than kale! Add two to three cups of dandelion to a smoothie with calcium-rich fruits like orange, kiwi, fig or papaya and you’ll have a green smoothie that has more calcium than any dairy product!
#2 – Rich in Iron: Next to fresh parsley, dandelion greens have a high iron content. One cup contains 1.7 milligrams of iron.
#3 – Low Calories: Like all leafy greens, dandelions are low in calories. One cup of chopped dandelion greens has only 25 calories. While leafy greens are a low-calorie food, I actually prefer to use dandelions because they have more calories than other greens. Since I try to get as many calories as I can into my morning smoothies, I add up to 4 cups of dandelion which adds 100 calories of nutrient-rich food!
#4 – Loaded With Antioxidants: Dandelion greens are high in vitamin A in the form of antioxidant carotenoid (beta-carotene) and vitamin C. Vitamin C also helps facilitate iron absorption.
#5 – The Ultimate Detox & Cleansing Green: If your goal is detoxification and cleansing, dandelion greens should be the ones you use in green smoothies! They are said to help cleanse the liver and many detox recipes call for them.
#6 – Lots Of Minerals: Dandelion greens are rich in minerals. Besides calcium and iron, they are a good source of copper (10% RDA), manganese (8% RDA), phosphorus (5% RDA), potassium (5% RDA) and magnesium (5% RDA).
#7 – 14% Protein: Dandelion greens have more protein per serving than spinach. The greens themselves are 14% protein and contain all essential amino acids so it’s a complete protein. One chopped cup contains 1.5 grams of protein.
#8 – Multivitamin Green: Besides vitamin A as beta-carotene (186% RDA) and vitamin C (21% RDA), each cup of chopped dandelion greens are also good sources of vitamins B1 (9% RDA), B2 (11% RDA) and B6 (11% RDA), vitamin E (13% RDA) and especially abundant in vitamin K (357% RDA).
#10 – Health Benefits of Dandelion Greens: The nutrients in dandelion greens may help reduce the risk of cancer, multiple sclerosis, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration and stroke. Dandelion contains anti-inflammatory properties which may provide benefit to those with asthma and other inflammatory diseases.
Next time you blow on one, remember how good it is for your body !!
Lamborghini Veneno – Geneva Car Show

It’s obvious, I am a guy and I love cars. When I went to the car show in Geneva I discovered one of the 3 cars produced by Lamborghini. To me it is not the nicest car but the performances are just incredible. This is the description made by Wikipedia :
“Only three production cars will be produced. There will be a green, white, and red one, each representing a colour of the Italian flag. Car Zero, which was the vehicle on display, will be retained by the factory for the museum. The three production cars will cost €3.12 million each, and all three have been sold. Two are destined for the USA. ”
I took couple pictures and I am sharing one with you. Feel free to comment 🙂

The black lake is in the German part of Switzerland and around 1000 m high. It is a beautiful lake it takes around 2 hours to walk around and the view is amazing. It’s impressive how the mountains around are so high and make it a really nice scenery. I enjoyed very much taking pictures from the lake and some flours that are around.
Feel free to leave any comments 🙂

This week-end I came back to my home country and luckily we had a beautiful day today which made me happy because I was finally able to play with my camera. I was happy to be able to take nice shots with sun which allows to play with the aperture refreshing my memory and comparing the different settings. The black forest is a really nice and calm place I love coming here and relaxing.
I played with the bracketing on my camera and Photomatix for the HDR and this is really an amazing software, it allows you to have such nice results on the pictures.
Feel free to comment and let me know what you think about the pictures ! Enjoy !!
Swiss National Day

Last year 1st of August we were at the Murten Lake in switzerland and able to enjoy the fireworks. In the beginning we didn’t understand why a big boat stopped in the middle of the lake until some people explained us that they were going to shot fireworks, great news I had brought my camera. Only issue is that I never shot pictures of fireworks so I didn’t really know what settings to use until some people made it easier for me by using their own little fireworks which allowed me to make some adjustments on my camera.
When the clock hit 10pm this was it, the sky lighted up allowing me to make some pictures and surprisingly I was happy of the results. I am sharing with you some of the shots I made please feel free to comment the pictures and if you know more about fireworks shots please give me some advises.
Enjoy !!
